Steve Doerman, Juran CRE, Writes on Finding Value in Lean

Juran Institute Client Relationship Executive, Steven Doerman, was recently published in the August issue of Industrial Engineer, an award-winning monthly publication serving over 15,000 industrial managers and engineers.

Doerman’s article, “Finding Value in Lean,” helps managers in the manufacturing industry understand the importance of using the Lean methodology to survive the current economic downturn. He outlines several Lean tools that can help meet customer demand and forecast future demand including root cause and corrective action and value stream mapping.

Doerman is a Lean Master and Client Relationship Executive with Juran. He has several years of experience implementing improvement initiatives including Value Stream Management, Six Sigma, business process re-engineering and cost of quality analysis. He received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University and his M.B.A. from the University of Dayton.
